BEN EAGER

Ben is  a former 1st round draft pick in both the Ontario Hockey League (9th Overall by the Oshawa Generals 2000) and in the National Hockey League (23rd Overall by the Phoenix Coyotes 2002). His professional career included winning the American Hockey League Calder Cup with the Philadelphia Phantoms during the 2004 NHL lockout and The Stanley Cup with the Chicago Blackhawks in 2010 .  While with the Philadelphia Flyers, Ben was awarded the Pelle Lindbergh Memorial Trophy.  The Pelle Lindbergh Memorial Trophy is awarded to the Flyer who has most improved from the previous season, as voted by his teammates.  Following his cherished time with the Flyers Ben was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks in 2007 where he played three seasons.  In 2010 Ben scored the game winning goal in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals in 2010.  The Blackhawks would go on to win the Stanley Cup in Game 6 vs his former team the Philadelphia Flyers.   Eager's NHL career spanned 10 seasons with six NHL teams the Phoenix Coyotes , Philadelphia Flyers, Chicago Blackhawks, Atlanta Thrashers, San Jose Sharks and the Edmonton Oilers. 

Ben has experienced all levels of hockey over his journey to the NHL.  Growing up in Ottawa, Ontario Ben made his way from the outdoor rinks through the minor hockey ranks in Ottawa.  Following his minor hockey Ben went onto play  in the CJHL (Ottawa Jr. Senators), Ontario Hockey League (Oshawa Generals), American Hockey League (Philadelphia Phantoms, Oklahoma City Barons, Chicago Wolves), KHL (Cska) and the NHL (Phoenix Coyotes, Philadelphia Flyers, Chicago Blackhawks, Atlanta Thrashers, San Jose Sharks and Edmonton Oilers).  

 

His expertise is invaluable to players seeking the next level of  development to maximize their potential. Whether a player’s goals are to make the local high school team, AA or AAA club, a Junior team, or prepare for a college opportunity, Ben's experience, coaching skills and desire to work with players who are willing to work, have fun and enjoy the great game of hockey are fantastic
